Lately Angham has lately been extremely busy following up on her son’s schoolwork. She is spending an endless amount of time tutoring omar and recording her new album that is due in stores end of this year.

According to the weekly Nujoom magazine, Angham cut short a visit to Dubai where she was to participate in a musical show that was to be aired during the month of Ramadan, to help her son with his studies. She is forced to put her musical career aside when her mother duties call. Her responsibilities as a mother are making her spend a longer time on her albums.

Angham noted that she has not specified a date or time when she expects to release her albums, as she is currently preparing for the launch of her new album produced by “Alam al Fan” production. Her album last year “Leih Sibtaha” (Why Did You Leave Her?) was a smash hit everywhere in the Arab world.

On another note, newspapers reported that singer Angham is seriously thinking of insuring her larynx for one million Egyptian pounds. Singers insuring individual body parts is a common trend in the West, however has not really picked up yet in the Arab world.

Earlier in the year, Angham decided to take seclusion, refusing to perform at any concert or answer any phone call after an embarrassing performance at the eight Cairo International Song Festival. This was attributed to the shocking behavior of the management of the festival, who decided to draw down the curtains while she was still performing on stage. – Albawaba.com
