Egyptian singer Angham has finally set April 22, 2004 as her wedding date. The singer is to wed music distributor Fahed, whom she has been involved with for some time. Angham revealed that they plan on holding a fancy ceremony to say their wedding vows on a prestigious yacht on the Nile River.

Recently, Angham had denied rumors of a secret marriage to Fahid that had been spreading in the entertainment world. The singer had at the time stressed that she is not involved in any kind of relationship with Fahid, let alone be married to him.

Angham added that she is shocked people would use her trip to London, which she took to shoot her upcoming music video, as an excuse to create rumors of a secret marriage. She added that when the time comes for her to be married she will definitely announce it to the entire world and not in any way keep it a hidden secret.

On a different note, the situation between Angham and producer Mohsin Jaber, owner of Alam El Phan Production Company, is deteriorating after Angham's transfer to Rotana. Jaber voiced that the roots of the problem was that Angham signed a three-year contract with Rotana before her contract with Alam El Phan expired, reported the London based daily Al Quds Al Arabi.

Mohsin added that he is going to sue her in court demanding that all his legal rights, according to their contract are met or at least compensated financially. Muhsin added that Angham has committed fraud by signing a contract with Rotana not notifying them that her previous contract had not ended.

The contract between Angham and Alam El Phan states specifically that the singer must submit at least three albums, and she had only released two, meaning that the company after being compensated will still have rights over the singer’s third album when it is produced.

Jaber said that singers grew greedier and wanted larger amounts of money for themselves without spending money on the quality of their albums. He suggests the key to get rid of this situation is by exploring a new generation of young singers who are still devoted to singing and want to prove themselves.

Alam El Phan was the first company to offer singers high amounts of money to produce their albums. Mohsin commented that he does not mind to give the singer his wage if the sales cover his expenses and give some profit to the company. But now things has changed and the economical situation has changed significantly in a way that its impossible to pay them the same amounts of money they used to make. -Albawaba.com
