Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi has been accused of imitating Lebanese singer Alissa, especially in her latest clip.
Amal has denied copying Alissa, stressing that each of them has her own unique style.
Amal added that her song “Bitdawir Ala Albi” (Searching for my heart) was filmed long before Alissa’s song “Hubbak Waja” and has been airing on different satellite channels for some time now.
The two singers are known to be on bad terms, and make it a point to avoid each other.
According to the London based daily, Al Quds Al Arabi, Amal refuses to be classified alongside Haifa Wahbi, Nancy Ajram, Maria, Ruby, Alissa, and others, who are considered provocative singers.
She explained that this is not her nature, stating, “I only present femininity in my videos, and do not go behind those limits.”
Amal added that she does not flaunt her body as her colleagues do, even though she may appear in some clips wearing a sexy outfit.
The singer revealed that she only had plastic surgery on her nose, stating, “I refuse to insert silicon or any other thing into my body, and greatly fear the negative side effects too many plastic surgeries may have.”
