Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi is in the process of preparing for her big performance at the prestigious annual festival Carthage in Tunisia. Amal will perform alongside prominent Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker. The performance will mark Amal’s second experience at Carthage, the first being two years ago alongside Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury.

According to the London based Elaph, Amal was scheduled to take part in the festival last year, but the attacks on Lebanon by Israel led her to cancel her performance.

With regards to this year’s performance, sources revealed that the singer is tense and signs of fear appear on her. The singer stated that she gets stage fright every time she has a performance.

Amal revealed that at the time she held her first performance at Carthage, she had almost backed out at the last minute because she was too afraid to get on stage. This year the signer states she is still worried but she is at the same time anxious to be given the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious festival.

On a different note, the singer is also preparing to place the final touches on her upcoming album. The new release is scheduled to hit stores before the winter season.
