During the signing ceremony of Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi’s latest album “Bitdawar Ala Albi” (Looking for my Heart), events took an unusual turn making the evening filled with heat. The first thing that heated up the atmosphere was the unintentional sparks that broke out from the fire works resulting in a big fire.
The flames spread in the forests near the where the party took place creating a fire that lasted for hours before it turned out. Second thing that heated the night was the questions of journalists who started by asking her if she paid Rotana production company the money for such a huge party. Amal denied paying any money and said that the touches of director Simon Asmar made the party look so grand.
Journalists asked Amal about spreading humors about her private life to get more attention and surprisingly Amal admitted doing so and apologized for it innocently. The singer stressed that she did not feel guilty doing so because it gave her extra attention, which she greatly appreciated.
Another amusing incident that happed was the public dispute that took place between producer Jan Saliba and composer Tarek Abu Judeh over who was the major contributor in Amal's success. Finally, Amal intervened and told them that they participated equally in her success and gave the credit to both men.
Hijazi has just released her latest album “Mistani Aih” (What are you Waiting for), marking her first album under the production of Rotana. The new album features twelve new songs sung in the Lebanese and Egyptian accents.
The singer cooperated with some of the most prominent poets and composers to ensure that her album is of high quality. Amal also released a new music video for the main song of the album under the direction of Mirna Khayat. The clip is for the song “Mistani Aih” and was filmed in Lebanon.
Hijazi announced that she is preparing to hold seven concerts consecutively in different cities around Tunisia. The singer’s concerts come after her participation at the Carthage Festival, which proved to be very successful, and will last until August 15. – Albawaba.com
