Ali Kareem falls for a minor

Syrian actor Ali Kareem stated that the character he plays in the drama “Jalsat Nisa’yah” (Women’s gatherings) is a complex one that suffers from a psychological problem called the Lolita Effect. The Lolita Effect is when an older man seduces a young school girl.

 

The drama has been airing on the Arab satellite channel MBC during the month of Ramadan. Kareem stated that his character is a married man who is separated from his wife and falls for his next door neighbor’s daughter a school girl and has an affair with her. Before things become too complicated the relationship is put to a stop after Kareem’s character is threatened by the mother and step father of the girl to take legal actions against him.

 

The drama is written by Syrian writer Amal Hinna and directed by prominent Syrian director Al Muthana Subuh. A number of prominent actors take part in the drama like Samer Al Masri, Yara Sabri, Basim Yakhour and others.
