Egyptian actor Ahmed Zaki is reportedly very enthusiastic about Lebanese singer Majedah Al Roomi’s participation in the upcoming film Qissat Hubb (Love Story), according to the daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
The romance tells a love story between a professor at Beirut Arab University and a renowned Lebanese singer whose family opposes to their marriage because it wants her to marry another man.
Roomi is expected to sing five songs in the film, in addition to performing a big musical show in collaboration with Zaki.
Zaki, who has started a trip to the Gulf countries to promote his film Ayyam Al Sadat (Sadat Days), told the daily that Roomi had expressed to him her delight at returning to the Egyptian cinema and acting with a star with a big audience.
Through this film, the Lebanese singer returns to the cinema after a 15-year sabbatical. Her last appearance on the big screen was in the film Awdat Al Ibn Al Dhal (Return of the Erratic Son) directed by Yousef Shahin in 1986 - Albawaba.com
