Egyptian actress Zeina is now claiming that Egyptian actor Ezz, whom she's currently fighting in court, has been abusing her with threatening phone calls. The starlet made the revelation during a telephone interview with TV host Lamees al Hadidi on the CBC talk show "Huna Al Asima."
According to Al Watan Voice, Ezz has asked a number of his friends to call Zeina up and threaten to hurt her and her twins if she doesn't drop the lawsuit against him; a battle she's fighting to prove that he's the father of her children.
Zeina described his behaviour as "childish," adding that she knows the identity of all the people doing his dirty work for him. Zeina advised the callers to reevaluate their actions as "Ezz won't be of any benefit to you in the long run."
During the interview, Zeina admitted that she has made a mistake by marrying Ezz.
"I believed him and did what he asked me to at the time because his father was ill. He insisted on marrying me so that we don't go against his religion," Zeina said.
As for the disputed evidence of a marriage certificate, Zeina said that Ezz has both copies of their secret marriage, which took place on June 15, 2012.
Zeina's advice for other women was to marry the "proper and official" way and not the way she has, so that they're guaranteed their rights from the start.
The actress told al Hadidi that she has cancelled the power of attorney given to her lawyer Inas al Bbeetar, after she had confidential details leaked to the press.
Meanwhile, Al Bbeetar called Zeina a "liar," while insisting that she has already apologized to her client for her "mistake."
