Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki’s health began improving gradually after a sudden downfall, and he is said to be returning to a somewhat normal life. The actor has decided to try and overcome his illness by always smiling and looking at it in an optimistic way.

Doctors supervising Ahmad’s condition along with his doctor in France decided to halt his chemotherapy sessions for a period of two months. Doctors revealed that they will resume chemotherapy in smaller dosages in order not to fatigue the actor.

According to the Egyptian daily Al Gomhoryia, in the time being doctors will attempt to increase the immunity of the actor and improve his psychological state of mind. It was revealed that in order to obtain good results from the chemotherapy, the actor’s immune system must improve.

Suddenly and without prior notice, the health condition of Zaki had recently deteriorated forbidding him from going to hospital to undergo a new session of chemotherapy. The actor’s immune system grew to its weakest level and a red blood cell count in the hemoglobin showed they have decreased tremendously.

Ahmad’s doctors had refused to give out any further details regarding his condition and have also forbade all visitors and the media from seeing the actor. The doctors added that the only thing everyone could do for the actor was pray that God help him and he returns to normal.

Zaki had announced the innocence of his medical team from all the accusations of revealing his secrets regarding his health condition, which they have been attacked with recently. The actor stressed that he had asked one of his doctors to publicly announce the status of his health condition, in order not to open doors of assumptions by people.

The official spokesperson of the Egyptian medical association denied that investigations are being done with Ahmad’s medical team for spreading rumors regarding his health, reported the Al Watan daily. The head of Zaki’s medical team, Hassan Al Bana, who is supervising Ahmad’s health condition, had threatened to quit after three months of treating the actor for lung cancer.

The threat came after a journalist published an article accusing Al Bana’s medical team of taking advantage of the actor’s health condition in order to reach popularity. The journalist claimed the doctors are using a free campaign to become known by giving out releases concerning the condition of the actor.

Al Bana stressed that these allegations are completely untrue and he has not gained anything since he began treating the actor. Al Bana also revealed that he has not taken any financial compensation for his work. The doctor added that he does not worry about the financial matters and is spending over 16 hours a day supervising the actor’s condition, while his visits to other patients last for a few minutes. –Albawaba.com
