Young Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Sakka has agreed with director Ahmad Saleh to nominate Lebanese singer Mariam Fares for the leading female role in his upcoming film “Remote Control”. Al Sakka has been holding extensive work sessions with scenarist Hazim Al Hadidi to finalize the final details of the film. The remaining cast of the film is also being chosen to prepare for filming the first scenes next month.
According to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />London based weekly, Laha, negotiations are currently being held between the producer of the film and Mariam. The film will be Mariam’s debut into the acting world, and it has been revealed that the leading female role must be a singer because the events of the film include a song sung by the lead actress.
Al Sakka has announced his entrance into the world of television commercials by signing with one of the international food production companies. The actor has recently completed shooting his first TV commercial between Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, which lasted for three days.
In the commercial Ahmad will act as an action hero, as is the case with most films he takes part in. The commercial was directed by an Italian director, who also directed action scenes in Ahmad's film "Tito".
