Paying his taxes is one thing that Adel Imam doesn’t joke about. The king of comedy actor always pays his yearly taxes in full and on time, even if it means paying over 2.6 million Egyptian pounds! This past year he ranked as the highest paid by any artist in Egypt. After his former jail sentence, he surely doesn’t want any more probs and pays it all promptly.

Many other other stars are following suit and paying their extremely high taxes in a timely fashion. Tunisian actress and director Hind Sabri was considered the number one female artist to pay her nearly 800 thousand Egyptian pounds in taxes before the deadline.

According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, Egyptian journalist Amrou Al Laithi came in second place paying the big bucks for the past year, followed by journalist Mahmoud Saed who paid 700 thousand.

Other stars who had paid extremely high taxes for the projects they presented last year were actress Yasmine, Hani Ramzi, and Yahia Al Fakharani. The Egyptian Tax Bureau deducts a whoppin' 20 percent of personal income that is over 40 thousand yearly. Oh, to have rich people problems.
