Prominent Egyptian actor Adel Imam's latest movie “Aarees Min Giha Amniya” has been referred to as one of the best by the actor in so many years according to critics. Despite some weakness in the script, critics still consider the new movie the best one by Adel in the past five years.
The movie had more depth to the surrounding personalities around Adel the thing that happened for the first time. Adel used to be the ultimate star of his movies without any concentration on other actors. This movie came different because it gave more room for the second leading actor Sherif Munir to show his talent which is marked as a new era of Adel's career.
Critics say that the story of the movie is very similar to the American movie “Meet the parents” starring Robert Dinero. The story of the movie revolves around a very possessive parent who loves his daughter very much and tries to put away all the guys who she meets. Until a really good one gets to know her, and the father could not do anything to him because he has a very sensitive job but still the father tries and succeeds in transferring him to a remote area.
The relationship between the father and his son in law turns from bad to worse until the newly wedded couples have their first baby. The grandfather, Adel Imam, gets crazy about he new comer and starts to take over his life also.
Critics say that the movie held a political indications and the need of change in people's lives. Ola Safi’i critic in Al-Ahram Al-Arabi described the movie as a copy of the American movie “The father of the bride” but in a boring Adel Imam style
The new movie “3arees min Jiha amnia” costars Loblobah, Sherif Munir, Halla Shiha, Mohammed Nadeem, Ahmed Zaher, and Riki. Actor Ashraf Abdul Baqi. The movie will marks number 117 for the great comedy actor.
Imam shot the first scenes of his new movie in the neighborhood of Muhandiseen in Cairo without any police protection, refusing to create barriers between him and fans coming to watch him in action. The actor stressed that he does not want anyone to mistreat fans, who that come to greet him, and keep them away from him.
The shooting did not create any traffic jams because one of the assistant directors, Ali Ragab, acted as a police officer and regulated traffic until they finished shooting the scenes.
Recently, Imam revealed that he plans on releasing his personal autobiography this summer. The book will feature Imam’s memoirs and his journey in the acting world. Imam will talk about his early beginnings in his career and all the difficulties he faced with different political figures in Egypt. In addition, the biography will include all the plays and films Adel took part in throughout his career. The actor announced that he plans to release the book in mid-summer. -Albawaba.com
