Egyptian king of comedy, Adel Imam, has reportedly hit out at online fraudsters who have used fake Facebook and Twitter accounts to attack Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood in the star's name.
According to Arabic news website Alarabiya.net, the comic actor said he doesn't use any social networking sites and is 'outraged' at news that accounts have been set up in his name. The star admitted that he knows nothing about the internet and prefers to find out about the world the old fashioned way - through newspapers.
Adel reportedly added that the accounts have been set up by 'sick and idiotic' individuals to defame him in the eyes of the public. The well-loved celeb warned his fans not to fall for the lies.
But Adel isn't the only star facing down the problem of online fraudsters. A whole host of celebs including Egyptian actress' Ghada Abdel Raziq and Yousra have also fallen victim to the cyber scandal.
