Saudi singer Abdel Majeed Abdullah has sent his regrets for not being able to perform in Jeddah Festival 2001, as well as an MBC TV show, due to a sudden medical problem that forced him to travel to Paris for surgery, according to the daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
The singer visited Paris based on the advice of his doctor, to undergo surgery to remove a cyst that recently appeared between his vocal chords.
He is currently undergoing post-surgery medical checkups in a hospital in Paris, and will require another two months of rest and follow-up treatment – Albawaba.com
