Syrian renowned director Ghassan Jabri began few days ago the shooting of a new series entitled Suwar Daiaa (lost images) scripted by Ibrahim al Sadeq.
115 Lebanese actors and actresses from different generations, participate in the series, including, Anthony Kurbaj, Elisee Vernini, Julia Qassar, Samir Shams, Allen Zughbi, Margo Qassar and others.
Sadeq told the daily al Nahar, “the series deviates from the principles of tales. In this work I tackled directly the core of the problem which families face. These problems in the relations between individuals have changed families into a group of images hung onto the walls with lost images in the corners for lost individuals.”
He added, “the events linked with these characters are also real as I took them from the archives of newspapers and courts and set from there to alert our society and youth of the danger threatening them. This bell should be rung by me or other writers hoping these lost images will make the officials understand the magnitude of the danger threatening us all so that they will encounter it with steadfastness. All what I want to say about this series is that we should be careful not to let our families, societies and homelands transform into lost images.” -- Albawaba.com
