Egyptian belly dancer Dina has finally put an end with disputes with Egyptian actress Athar Al Hakim and over her dresses in the TV drama series “Frisca”, which both are costarring in. Just when Dina thought all is well new disputes have risen to the surface, but this time between her and Egyptian actress Wafa Amer, who is not even part of the cast for the drama.

According to the London based weekly, Laha, rumors had it that Wafa was angry and had been publicly criticizing Dina for accepting the role in the drama, which is originally hers. Dina denied stealing the role from Wafa stressing that the director had never mentioned that the role was to be for Wafa. Dina added that when she was offered the role she studied it and felt it suit her and that is why she accepted it. The dancer stressed that when she is offered a role, she does not care who it had been offered to before her and just focuses on how it can add to her career.

On her part, Wafa denied making any rude comments about Dina or accusing her of stealing the role from her. She added that when she turns down a role in any work she does not care who takes it after her, adding that her refusal of a role does not imply it is a weak one but rather that it did not suit her. Wafa added that she will not allow gossip to push her into disputes with other actresses.

Dina had accepted the offer by Egyptian director Majdi Ahmad Ali to star in "Frisca" after long and intensive negotiations. Dina will be plays the role of a dance performer in the series marking her official return to dancing. On the set of the series a major crisis took place between Dina and her colleague actress Athar Alhakim while shooting the scenes over Dina’s dresses. Dina had finally decided to put an end to all disputes and sought a fashion consultant to change her entire wardrobe for the series.

Dina revealed that she sought the fashion specialist in order to stop the disputes with Athar and resume the shooting of the scenes. The argument began when Dina was about to shoot one of the scenes wearing a very revealing dress triggering Athar to begin criticizing her appearance.

Athar stressed that she is not comfortable acting alongside someone dressed in such an inappropriate manner, adding that Dina can not shoot the scene wearing the dress she had on. Dina had refused to change the dress saying that it is essential for the part she is performing. Dina added that there is censorship in Egypt and if they felt her appearance is inappropriate they will omit the scenes.

Athar was not convinced and insisted on her opinion. All attempts from director Magdi Ahmed Ali failed to convince Athar that he was the one to decide if the dress was improper or not. Athar left the scene very angry and all efforts failed to make her change her mind. The series revolves around three characters that struggle to succeed in life. Costarring with the two actresses are Tawfiq Abdul Hameed, Hassan Abdul Hameed, Nabil Nour Aldin, Ameera Ala’idi.

Dina has denied circulating rumors that she secretly married fashion designer Hani Abu Al Naja. The dancer stressed that if she had gotten married, she would gladly announce the news and not keep it a secret.

Dina revealed that nothing more than a very close friendship ties her with Hani. The rumor was caused due to the fact that many people have seen the two together at many different occasion, usually showing up arm in arm. If Dina had in fact married Hani, it would have marked her fifth secret marriage. –Albawaba.com
