The Saudi drama Zaman Emad (Emad’s time) is currently being shot at the Media City Company in Amman. “The drama is the first Saudi production to be shot at the city after it has been developed into a free zone”, the production manager, Waddah al Weshah told the London based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat.
“The series depends on the psychological aspect as it tackles in seven episodes the mistakes committed by a mother’s behavior in raising up her children. She implants evil and animosity in the heart of one of her sons who becomes sick looking at people and society with absolute negativity. The outcome of all of this is fired back at the mother who feels very sorry, the fact that asserts the indirect message of the series that a human being should not deal with others on the basis of the injustice against him whatever the degree of this injustice,” the series director Mohammed al Awali told the paper.
He added, “the script was written by Ayman Bakhsh marking his debut in screenwriting with unique dare.”
Costarring in the series are Abeer Eisa, Shafiqah al Tall, Nadera Omran, Lara al Safadi and Margo Haddad in addition to the Saudi actors Mustafa Bakhsh and Mohammed Bakhsh -- Albawaba.com
