ALBAWABA- A significant and concerning development has emerged in Saudi Arabia, as it has been revealed that 39 percent of Saudi families currently do not have any children.

This striking statistic highlights a growing demographic concern within the country. Despite being the largest Gulf nation in terms of geographical expanse, population, and political influence, Saudi Arabia faces a notable proportion of its residents being expatriates, comprising approximately 42 percent of the total population. These figures, sourced from the latest data released by the Saudi General Authority of Statistics in late May 2023, shed light on the magnitude of this issue.

Notably, the Indian subcontinent alone contributes around 6 million individuals to Saudi Arabia's workforce. This notable figure is followed by a diverse range of nationalities, including Yemenis, Egyptians, Sudanese, Filipinos, Syrians, Nepalese, and Jordanians, respectively.

This influx of expatriates has undoubtedly influenced the demographic landscape of the country, prompting a need for further examination and consideration of its implications. Yet, the presence of these diverse nationalities within the Saudi Arabian workforce adds to the multicultural fabric of Saudi society.
