As millions performed Haj, an Arab national killed himself by committing suicide at the Grand Mosque of Makkah.
The incident took place on Friday when the man jumped off the roof of the mosque.
"Two other pilgrims who were wounded in the incident are in a stable condition in hospital," Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Mansouri, spokesman for the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques was quoted saying by Arab News.
The matter is currently under investigation.
This is not the first such incident reported from the holy site.
In June, a Bangladeshi and a French man died after committing suicide at Makkah's Grand Mosque.
