Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri on Thursday said the Israeli spy networks that were uncovered in recent times are part of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon. He pointed out that the Israeli "aggression has multiple forms including attacks on the water resources or gas exploration in the Lebanese waters."
Berri stressed that "spying is the most dangerous form of aggression on Lebanon, adding that "Israel considers Lebanon as the first enemy in the region because Lebanon is an example for the resistance in the region."
The Lebanese speaker noted "There is no such thing as Israeli rights in the region," stressing that "the Shebaa Farms are 100% Lebanese and thus Israel should withdraw from them." He also denied media reports that Lebanon got warnings from some European countries regarding possible Israeli aggression against Lebanon. "This is not true, I do not think there is a war on Lebanon, at least not by the end of this year," he stated.
