SMART Tech launches iPad application for SMART Bridgit conferencing software

SMART Technologies Inc, a leading provider of collaboration solutions, announces an application (app) for SMART Bridgit conferencing software, the first app from SMART specifically designed to work on the Apple iPad. Using any 3G or Wi-Fi Internet connection, app users can create and join collaborative meetings from anywhere to connect with local and remote participants in real time. The iPad application for SMART Bridgit conferencing software is now available globally in English and can be downloaded at no charge via the Apple App Store.

The application enables iPad users to collaborate effectively and efficiently from anywhere at any time. Users who have access to SMART Bridgit conferencing software version 4.2 or later can use the application to quickly and easily create real time meetings to collaborate on shared digital content. The application secures all content and communications using 128 bit SSL encryption, and password protection can also be added to ensure that only designated participants can access the meeting. While application users are not able to share digital content from their iPad, they can view multiple shared screens simultaneously and write over digital content. The application for SMART Bridgit conferencing software does not support video conferencing or VOiP at this time, and SMART Bridgit server software must be configured with a third-party conferencing solution to support voice bridge notification.
